We sat together, side-by-side in a pew, embracing in the moonlight shining through the stained glass window of the cathedral.  I had grown bored of the monochrome of Castle Oblivion, and had left with him to this brighter place.  I knew that he would revel in the moonlight; it was his source of power.
I ran my fingers through his blue hair, holding him close, not wanting him to leave.  I felt his warm breath on my neck, and the movement of his chest against mine.  The night was cool, but I didn’t even notice.
I opened my eyes to look him in the face.  I studied once again his scar, his closed eyes, and he rest of his face.  It was the face of my closest companion.  The light that shone brightly in my darkness.  The respite in my lonely life.  He was my best friend.  My second-in-command.  My lover.
He’s stood by me for the longest time.  He’s shared my drive to find our hearts, to give hearts to all the Heartless.  I always knew I could trust him, and there was one request I had that burned in my mind.
I rested my head on his chest, where i coud feel his heart beating.  “Saïx...” I whispered,  “Never disappear.”
He smiled, and whispered one word: “Never.”
